LANDSCAPING & DESIGN
SERVICES IN SOUTHERN NH
At Blue Ribbon, we believe in a seamless design/build approach—because the team that envisions your project should also be the one to bring it to life. From the very first conversation, our process is centered around you. We understand that a project can take several months from initial design to final construction, and we want you to feel confident every step of the way. With our expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to quality craftsmanship, we’ll create a lasting landscape that reflects your vision—while staying true to your needs and budget.

OUR DESIGN PROCESS

Whether it’s a mature landscape that needs a renovation or a new home that needs some curb appeal, we provide a 2-hour on-site consultation to meet your immediate needs. This includes a quick hand sketch drawn on-site that shows layout, planting options, new landscape recommendations for improvement and changes to your existing landscape. You’ll be able to bring your hand sketch to a nursery for additional plant ideas for a DIY project. Alternatively, you can hire our landscape crew to complete the project for you.
PLAN YOUR DREAM BACKYARD
THE CONSULTATION

We begin with a thorough site analysis of your property—reviewing solar exposure, views, wind, drainage, vegetation, structures, topography, utilities, and local regulations. If available, we incorporate surveys, septic, or architectural plans into a base plan; otherwise, we take our own measurements and photos. Next, we meet with you to explore your desired landscape elements, discuss a rough budget, and brainstorm design ideas to ensure the plan reflects your needs while guiding you through every step of the process.
REVIEW & BRAINSTORM
SITE ANALYSIS

This is the stage where we bring all the pieces of your landscape vision together into a cohesive design. Our team carefully considers how each element—such as patios, walkways, fire pits, water features, and plantings—works together to create a functional and beautiful outdoor space. We often develop multiple design options, giving you the opportunity to explore different layouts and features before making a final decision. Each plan is thoughtfully detailed, labeled, and easy to read, so you can clearly visualize how your finished landscape will look and feel. Our goal is to ensure every detail aligns with your lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, and long-term enjoyment of your property.
PLOTTING THE VISION
CONCEPTUAL PLAN

We know it can be challenging to fully visualize your new landscape from a traditional 2D, bird’s-eye plan. That’s why we offer 3D CAD renderings and perspective drawings that bring your project to life before construction begins. These visual tools provide realistic views of how patios, walkways, plantings, and outdoor living features will look and feel once completed. By seeing the design in three dimensions, you can better understand spatial relationships, scale, and materials, making it easier to explore different options and ensure the final result matches your vision. This step not only enhances communication but also builds confidence, giving you a clear picture of your future outdoor space.
VISUALIZE THE OUTCOME
RENDERINGS & PERSPECTIVE DRAWINGS

Once you have reviewed the conceptual landscape plan, final revisions are made to complete your master plan. Depending on your budget, the project may be broken into priority areas for phased implementation, making the master plan an essential tool for both design and financial planning. The plan will include symbols showing the placement of trees, shrubs, and perennials, while the specific plant choices—such as whether to include a dogwood or a cherry tree—are tailored to your preferences. Sun exposure, soil conditions, mature size, texture, seasonal interest, and color are all carefully considered to create a landscape that thrives and reflects your unique vision.
FINAL PHASES
LANDSCAPE MASTER PLAN & PLANTING PLAN

Since we are a design-build company, we plan on designing and building your landscape right from day one. When planning the design, it is imperative that we keep budget, onsite conditions, drainage, and construction methods in mind. After the landscape plan is complete we will provide you with a rough budget for installation for all areas of your project planning and help you through the construction process.
